Day 4: Hong Kong

Today was a bit of a late start, but the main focus was on hiking Victoria Peak, and then going bar hopping in LKF.

Started the day at McDonalds...

Ebi burger! McDonalds are fun in foreign countries

We did not take the tram up to the peak as the line was long and it was like $20 per person, when a taxi for all three of us was ~$6. Tram is definitely is more scenic though, especially the glass bottom aspect.
Quite a few dogs up at the peak

Old anti-aircraft and ship battery that was used in the Battle for Hong Kong by the British. It got bombed out by Japanese planes pretty quickly and HK fell in no time.

Day 3: Hong Kong

With a hectic start, my brother and I checked out of our first hotel of the trip and headed to HK city center.

Spent the evening taking some of the mid-level escalators. These are really interesting way to get around. World's longest open air escalators

Day 2: Macau

The second day started with a Turbo Jet ride from Kowloon to Macau. The tickets were about $25 USD per person per direction, it's a bit pricey so consider getting the most out of your time in Macau by staying the night.

Cannon in a historic fort on Mount Hill - pointed right at the Grand Lisboa hotel

Portuguese egg tarts. Sampled a few, all were better than any I've had in the US. My brother says even these aren't remotely as good as the one's he had in Lisbon. I'll have to try that someday.

Macau's casinos feel quite a bit like Vegas, in that they are over the top. But Vegas definitely has a better atmosphere.
